I'm a Liverpool fan , always have been , always will be . It kills me to see the trouble the club is going through at the minute but I will never give up on them. Please stick by the Reds & tell all other band wagon hoppers to fuck off . Most of them haven't a clue what they're talking about anyway. I wouldn't care if Liverpool were in the conference . I love too much about the clubs history & ethos to give a flying fuck about those knockers . YNWA

At last its here, Friday number 3 of 53 . Can't wait not to have a beer tonight . Im so looking forward to it . I have invented I-Pop , imaginery beer for the sober. I-Pop simply stands for imaginery pop. Pop is a slang word for Beer in my beloved Cork . Tonight I intend to have a six pack of I-Pop. Cheers . GT

Friday Nights .......

Looking forward to getting stuck into the box set of "Band Of Brothers" over the weekend . Feet up with a nice vintage pint of blackcurrant & a sack of Doritos . Just have the little matter of getting through Friday first . Might treat myself to a Cafe Solo coffee as an end of week reward on the way home from work.

Feeling good today, getting back into the full swing of things . I'm buoyed by the fact that we have raised over 800 euro in such a short space of time . Just when I was feeling down , along pops up mctheniall with an email from Oz looking for my killer burger recipe ! What a legend , the little genius is & devilishly handsome ladies, may I add too . Did I mention that he's single, plays mean piano , can hold a note while strumming along on his guitar & can now afford his own jackets ! ( thank god I hear his father cry ). So good to hear from you brother ......... keep it real . P.S. did you see the A-Team trailer yet , class !

Even big boys cry

The first two weeks of this challenge have been a roller coaster . The support I have received from people has been simply incredible & thank you all for that . One thing I didn't expect was this wave of emotion that keeps flooding over me . I think it's just that I have learned to cope with cancer over the last seven years & while giving it the utmost respect, have never let it take over . I have always dealt with it in a kind of, crack a gag, humorous way. However, today in particular, I have been reliving many of the thoughts & memories I have about the whole episode & to tell you the truth didn't realise that It still scares me.

Harsh Reality

I had an email last night from an old friend . It detailed how her mum is dealing with breast cancer & how her cousin is coping with testicular cancer . Not only this, her own husband lost his brother to cancer last October . It really struck a cord with me & has made me ever more determined to see this challenge true to the very end . Giving up drink is nothing compared to what this ladies family are coping with & the sad fact is that there are thousands of stories like this all around us . Please spread the word & lend your support in whatever little way that you can.

Fair play to my brother in law & all round good guy Aidan Crimmins who having looked to the skies for inspiration has joined the 2010ayearwithoutbeer first team today . Aidan has kindly committed to keeping me company for the whole year on the dry . By some weird coincidence Aidan also has two different coloured eyes ! Whats that all about ? What are the odds of two sisters marrying two freaks with weird eyes ? You think mine are bad , Aidans are blue & brown ..... mega freak ! Please join me in wishing him good luck for the road ahead.

I lost my camera

I'm mega pissed off, I lost my camera today . Brought it into work in my lap top bag but cant find it anywhere now . Im lost without it . By coincidence & thankfully, I had only stored all of my pictures from it onto the computer last night . Ah well , at least thats my Christmas present for next year boxed off nice & early !

Damn you snow , I wish you would go . Getting sick of being stuck in the house . There are only so many snow men that you can make . Went out yesterday in the car for 10 minutes & nearly crashed twice in the estate , so I came home . A six pack of Cabin Fever would be just lovely now in front of the fire & the hurt locker ! It's amazing how bored you can get so quickly surrounded by so much stuff . I have a lap top .
