I'm not lovin it
I don't know where you all stand on the McDonalds / Burger King Row. Can I put on record that I'm firmly in Ronald the scary clowns camp on this one . Even photo's of burger king food look shit . Still , was starvin & could'nt bear to walk the extra 100 metres to Mickey D's . Plus ..... Cam won the shout for eatery of the day . Note, Hoodwinked Too coming out according to the kids brainwashing material on site . 
Chalk It Down Kid
Well it's just gone the witching hour & that's four fridays done & dusted , dry as a biscuit . I really felt like a pint tonight , busy week in work . Ah well, we are up to 949 euro in 3 weeks , way beyond anything I could have imagined . I'm getting greedy now & want a grand before the month is out ! Thanks again to everyone who has shown an interest so far . Continue to spread the word & get your friends interested too .

Never Again
Tried to explain Facebook to Lyn tonight . How many questions can a woman ask in an hour ? I'll tell you how many 149 to be exact . " I immediately regret this decision " sprung to mind . The up-shot of it all is that she now has her own page ! Is there no where sacred anymore . ( Thank god for twitter ........ssshhhh , dont tell her about that just yet )
Scots Clan
Had some scots clan choc sweets tonight .......as my Friday treat ( desert after killer home made pizza ) ! Totally forgotten how good those bad boys tasted .....
Not too sure how scottish they are though, considering they are made in Dublin. Its true , on the Belagard road by Jacob Fruitfield , checked out the pack on the back. What next ? American Pie made in China ? I had visions of these glorious sweets being hand crafted by highland noble men , instead some pikey named Kellier pushes the button on the production line in Tallaght. Bastards...........

3 Weeks Done & Dusted
Three weeks into the dry spell & dare I say it too early , it's becoming easier . I now only think of beer every 10 seconds , a huge improvement on last weeks 4 . However , I will punch in the face ( repeatedly ) the next bastard that says "I bet your thinking of beer right now"

I had to go to church tonight . It was for my son's confirmation meeting as oppossed to me needing the Lord's help to stay sober. Could'nt but help notice that the priest was using the top of the range HTC Hero phone ! Well Impressed was I .........fo shizzle

Coaching Badges
Since I retired from playing football , I have been studying for my coaching badges over the last four years . I am now fully qualified to UEFA "B" standard & hope to complete my "A" licence this year . This is the highest coaching qualification that you can attain in the football world & is fully sanctioned by footballs governing bodies . The only other qualification that you can get beyond this is a managerial Pro Licence. I would love to achieve this some where down the line .

As you can see , me & my brother Ronan are not missing the gargle at all ! We are happy go lucky sober as judges type fellows , feet firmly planted on solid ground . No twitches or ticks or quirkey mannerisms to speak of . Nothing that a few pints of porter wouldn't sort out anyway.

I Dont Miss This
I am getting old or maybe my new found sobriety has made me change my opinion ( for now anyway ) about getting smashed . I heard two young lads in work today talking about how wasted they were at the weekend . I can't say that I miss that feeling. The one where you want to crawl into a hole and die from the gargle .The one where your hair hurts & your eyes cant see for the fog . Where you shake in the freah air with the cold & the smell of food makes you dry reach until nothing but bile comes out of your nose. You scratch yourself for relief & find comfort in tucking your hands down your tracksuit legs. No thanks !

Chocolate Ban Update
As you may or may not know , Lyn & Elle are staying off the chocolate for the whole year in support of my endeavour . I am happy to report that both are sticking to this arduous task admirably. Go on the girls . ( even when we, the boys, decide to do something good like give up beer , the woman get suspicious & have to join in somehow to keep an eye on us ! ) ................ Woman
My New Hobby
With the severe lack of alcohol in my system I have turned to ever more dangerous pursuits to replace that "beer buzz". This week I have been child chucking. You simply pick a child up and throw them over your shoulder . Repeat until bored or child vomits , whichever comes first .
