Got confirmation of my place on this seasons UEFA "A" licence coaching course in conjunction with the FAI . Starts next Friday & Runs for a year ........... hard work ahead .......... but really looking forward to it ........ If I pass .... I will be fully qualified to coach professionally anywhere in the footballing world !

I was googling 2010 a year without beer & I found this other site ( http://www.creativeguise.com/ ) .............. turns out that a guy in Canada , Doug McArthur has given up Beer for the year too  .............. so ................ finding this to be a deadly coincidence , I began to try to contact Doug ................ turns out he's based in Winnipeg , Manitoba , Canada ! .......... I found him on facebook & have since began to keep in touch with  him over the good old interweb ........ to see how he's getting on  ............ check out his blog ........... good luck Doug ! The Wanderers

I was fortunate enough to play in the League of Ireland for Bray Wanderers for about 7 years . During that time I won the "B" league , came runners up in the "B" league , won the old first division & came runners up in the first division along with winning the shield . The supporters were kind enough to vote for me twice as their senior player of the year as well as once as their reserve team player of the year. I have many great memories of this brilliant club. Talking to Laura from East Coast today brought them flooding back. Good times !

Weekend 6 of 53

Despite the poxy weather weekend six has been quite enjoyable ...........  there was a derby win for the reds & Ireland got their campaign in the six nations off to a good start ....... normally such sporting events would be accompanied by a few sherbets ........... but none were had ! ............. I even  have no football on ( a rare occurence ) which would normally be a recipe for a beer on a Saturday & a lie in Sunday .............  Really enjoyed the kids table quiz too ! ...................Cheers ......
